This Week's Tip: Giveaways, Exhibit Booth Staff and Creating a Buzz

Guidelines to Giveaways

You do not want to create a situation where prospective customers scoop and run - meaning they pick up your giveaways and move on to the next booth. Therefore, don’t display all your giveaways on your booth table. Engage customers by offering them the giveaway.

The most effective giveaways:
1. Tie to the company
2. Are memorable
3. Have practical use (examples: pens, ice scrapers, combs)

Create a Buzzzzzzzzzzzzz

There is still time to let your customers and potential customers know you are exhibiting at MSBO's Annual Conference & Exhibit Show. If you have a new product or service - let them know that you will be unveiling it at the show.

Exhibit Booth Staff

Exhibit show staff are not just on stage in your booth – employees must “be on” all the time because prospective customers are everywhere. You may meet a customer as you stand in line to buy coffee at Starbucks, at the hotel reception desk, or as you wait for an elevator.

Booth staff need to know your exhibit booth procedures to avoid misunderstandings.  Great staff are vital to a successful exhibit show. It is very important to "coach" your team.

According to Skyline, a national exhibit system builder, the best person to staff an exhibit booth is the person who wants to be there because 85% of the results that your organization receives is directly tied to the experience that the attendees have with your booth staffers.
